Kenan Center non-hoopla

Being a member of Buffalo Niagara Art Association enables you to participate in 2 annual juried group shows. The spring show opened a few Sundays ago at Kenan House Gallery in Lockport. I submitted 2 paintings, 1 (Far Shore) was accepted. Awards were given for realism and details rendered, so my work didn't qualify for that! It was a good experience- a reminder that art to many means copying nature and taking classes in different styles and techniques, and does NOT mean trying to express concerns both immediate and long term.
